Overview
Airbnb Auto Reviews let you automatically send guest reviews after checkout using templates and automation timing rules. With the right setup, you can save time while still keeping control over when reviews are sent and how they’re written.
Taking a moment to configure your settings properly helps ensure your reviews go out at the right time, with the right message, and without any surprises.
When are Automated Airbnb Reviews Sent?
Automated Airbnb Reviews are triggered after guest Check Out, based on the timing rules set in your automation. There is a 14 day window from this date in which a host or a guest can submit a review.
Once submitted, reviews are not published immediately on Airbnb. Airbnb uses a double-blind system, meaning reviews are only published once both the host and guest have submitted their reviews, or after 14 days—whichever comes first.
You can also add a delay (e.g. 24–48 hours after Check Out) to give you time to review the booking or resolve any issues before your review is submitted.
How to Create Automated Airbnb Review Templates
Templates allow you to prepare consistent messages that can be automatically applied when responding to guest feedback. Creating multiple templates will automatically mean that Resly can randomise alternate reviews. It's a great way to keep your reviews sounding fresh and not generic.

How to Automate Airbnb Reviews and Responses
Automations helps you to manage your review of Checked Out Airbnb guests and also manage your response to reviews of your property and services, by your Airbnb guests.
How the review gets created and how your response to a guest review is handled by two settings (screenshots further down):
Review
| Controls how your review of a guest is created and submitted to Airbnb after their stay.
|
Review Response | Controls how your response to a guest’s review is handled after a guest leaves a review for your property on Airbnb.
You can choose whether responses are created automatically, saved as drafts for review, or submitted automatically. |
How guest reviews are created and submitted for Airbnb bookings is handled by these Action settings (screenshots further down):
Disabled | No review will be created automatically. Reviews must be written and submitted manually. |
Draft | A review will be automatically created and saved as a draft. You can review and edit it before deciding whether to submit it. |
Auto Submit | A review will be automatically created and submitted to Airbnb without manual approval.
When using Auto Submit, you can build in a delay by choosing how many days to wait before the review is sent. The review is created as a draft first, giving you time to review or edit it before it is automatically submitted after the selected number of days you have set under the delay. |
What is the Content that will be sent?
Review Content | The section defines what text will be used when the system generates the guest review. You can customise this message by using pre defined Templates or alternatively, use AI to generate draft reviews. |

Tips for Better Auto Reviews
Auto reviews should probably not be set up to be fully automatic, owing to some post Check Out processes
We have learnt from our customers using this tool
The Delay tool is essential - create delays of at least 48 hours after Check Out giving time for inspection of property, before review is auto generated
Draft setting allows Property Manager the option to edit a saved version of a template and add in specific details connected a situation or to a less than perfect review
Pre-review guest feedback can catch problems early
