Enable 2-factor authentication to boost security! Learn how to set it up quickly and protect your accounts from unauthorised access.

Updated over 3 weeks ago

Overview

Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Resly account by requiring a verification code in addition to your password.

Before You Start

  • Ensure you have access to your mobile phone or access to your authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Duo, Apple Passwords)

How It Works

Two-factor authentication works by sending a verification code to your mobile phone via sms or using an authenticator app whenever you log in. This code must be entered to complete the login process, adding an additional layer of security.

This extra layer of protection helps safeguard your account from unauthorised access, even if your password is compromised.

Step-by-Step For SMS Authentication

  1. Click Your Profile

  2. Navigate to the top-right corner of the Resly dashboard.

  3. Click your profile picture or name to open the dropdown menu.

  4. Click "Add Two-Factor Authentication" button and select SMS Authentication

  5. Input your mobile phone number in the provided field.

  6. Click on "Verify Number." A verification code will be sent to your phone.

  7. Enter the code in the field provided and click on "Add Authentication."

  8. Once the code is verified, you will see a confirmation message indicating that Two-Factor Authentication is now enabled for your phone number.

Step-by-Step For Authenticator App

  1. Click Your Profile

  2. Navigate to the top-right corner of the Resly dashboard.

  3. Click your profile picture or name to open the dropdown menu.

  4. Click "Add Two-Factor Authentication" button and select Authenticator App

  5. Enter your password

  6. Scan the QR Code and click Continue

Note: If you cannot scan the QR code, enter the code into the authenticator app

  7. Enter the code from the authenticator app in the field provided and click "Add Authentication."

  8. Once the code is verified, you will see a confirmation message indicating that Two-Factor Authentication is now enabled.

Troubleshooting/FAQ's

What if I’m overseas or lose my phone and can’t log in?

No worries! If you’re locked out, ask an Admin user to remove you and add you back. Once you regain access, be sure to set up 2-Factor Authentication again using an authenticator app like Google Authenticator, Duo, or Apple Passwords.

But what if I’m the only Admin user?

If you’re the sole Admin, don’t stress—just reach out to [email protected], and they’ll help you get back in.
